    This place is fantastic.

The house cured bacon made from locally raised pigs makes this place a must try, period. Never seen bacon like it, never tasted bacon like it. Store bought bacon now seems like a poor facsimile of this BACON.

House made sausage - again, utterly fantastic. Again, you'll wonder why you haven't been eating sausage like this your whole life.

The yellow mustard is transcendent, or at least it is for me. They source an ingredient, a certain red wine, from Lewnes steakhouse because they're the only place anywhere around here who gets it. Never have I Googled recipes that incorporate mustard until I tried this and realized I don't know enough ways to properly consume it. It's really that good.

The cured meats? If they aren't supplying the best restaurants in town they will be soon, so just come get it here. Hummus - great and inventive.

One complaint is that the bread for the sandwiches isn't great. However, my guess is that when they start turning over more sandwiches the bread will be fresher.

It's not cheap but don't despair. The guys who run it are friendly and informative and remember - your buying food here that's far better than you can buy from any store in town and far better than all but a couple of restaurants in town. And that might be under selling it.

Great food and experience. The two people that work here make everything they serve, except the bread. They even make their own charcuterie from local pigs and peanut butter from Maryland peanuts and Annapolis honey. The sausages are really tasty as well.

This isn't subway though, and the organic foods made to order cost a little more, sometimes take a few minutes to make, and are deceptively portioned: soups are large - 16 oz to a serving, the lonza sandwich has 1.5 oz of lonza - a cured meat which has lost moisture and is very rich so it is not meant to be piled high on a sandwich, the ham and chicken salads each have four ounces of meat on them, and the hummus is larger than most commercially packaged hummus'!

Plus the owner makes it clear that because foods are sourced locally, monies spent at the store go into the hands of fellow Maryland state taxpayers, that pay for and enjoy the same public services we use like fire and police departments and public schools.
